Andrew Walmsley joins ISM as Non-Exec Director

Andrew Walmsley, founder of i-level and digital pluralist, has joined London-based advertising technology company InSkin Media, as a non-executive director.

Walmsley was co-founder of i-level in 1999, having previously worked as head of digital media at BBH. For five years until 2011, he wrote a popular weekly column in Marketing magazine, and is now an active investor in early stage internet ventures, and a non exec director of the Eden Project in Cornwall.

Walmsley joins ISM’s leadership team and board, along with current non-executive directors Trevor Hope (ISM’s Chairman and Chief Investment Officer at Beringea, the private equity firm), and Justin Byam-Shaw, (Entrepreneur, early ISM investor and Chairman of the London Evening Standard & London Live).

Hugo Drayton, ISM’s CEO, commented: ‘I am delighted that Andrew is joining our team.  Andrew’s strengths and knowledge of the digital advertising market are well known in the industry. With his co-founder at i-level, Charlie Dobres, he was a true digital pioneer. InSkin Media is fortunate to be able to count on his expertise and dynamism as we grow fast in a challenging, exciting environment.’

Walmsley added, ‘InSkin Media’s fast growth reflects strong demand amongst advertisers and publishers for high-quality environments and audiences, and I’m excited to help the company seize that opportunity to build a world-class ad-tech business.’

The arrival of Andrew on the ISM board is an exciting development for the company, which was recently voted Best Media Owner at the 2013 IPA Media Owner Awards, and whose international operations across Europe and Hong Kong are building rapidly. Find out more about InSkin Media:
