Sony Pictures Releasing launches InSkin's i-Roll (interactive pre-roll)
Sony Pictures Releasing is the latest high profile partner of InSkin Media, this time to launch InSkin's i-Roll, a brand new interactive pre-roll format.
The campaign promotes the keenly awaited release of Terminator Salvation, which goes on release in the UK on 3 June. The campaign will run from 25 May until 7 June.
Planning and buying of the InSkin/i-Roll combination has been managed by the invENTS team at Manning Gottlieb OMD. Matt Morgan, Online Account Director at MGOMD, explained: "We wanted to create a media first and to break the rules around this film launch. The idea was for the film brand to 'own the view' in key media environments, as well as exploiting emerging channels to market and cross-platform opportunities. We are excited by the innovation and potential of i-Roll".
Joshua Heaton-Armstrong, Digital Marketing Manager at Sony Pictures Releasing, added: "InSkin's i-Roll is an ideal platform to promote the film's release details throughout the whole trailer; and it also enables a direct call to action within the pre-roll ('Click here to watch full trailer') This will improve the overall campaign performance - and help drive interested viewers to engage further with the film. Viewers of InSkin and i-Roll ads sites can pause the video and click on the 'skin' (a wrap-around frame) to view an interactive ad, or link to related content. The advertiser's branding is present throughout the user's video viewing, without disturbing that experience. The format is delivering exceptionally high click-through-rates for advertisers, and unparalleled dwell-times (Average Brand Exposure - ABE) of over 3 minutes. -

Utarget.Fox Germany launches Video Advertising partnership with InSkin Media
Online video network Utarget.Fox has announced a new partnership with InSkin Media in Germany, to offer new interactive ad formats - InSkin and i-Roll (interactive pre-roll) - around video, games and image galleries, for advertisers and agencies.
InSkin Media's formats are Flash-based interactive display ad units, that wrap around the publisher's media player enabling online users to click on a brand's ad while viewing a video.
Patrick Edlefsen, Country Manager for Utarget.Fox Germany, said, "This is a new offering for our clients and potential clients that complements our video ad network team. Online video is a fast-growing market - the opportunity is huge."
Hugo Drayton, CEO of InSkin Media Ltd, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Patrick's talented and experienced German team on board with InSkin - this is a great opportunity for both our companies to help develop this dynamic market sector."
The products will now be available across much of Utarget.Fox's European network, in Germany but also in Spain and France.

InSkin Media Strengthens Senior Management Team
InSkin Media today announced two additions to its senior management team, with the hiring of Steve Doyle and Tom Knapp. InSkin has also moved into larger central London offices, in the building of Image Source in Soho.
Steve Doyle joins from ids online, where he spent 4 years as Sales Controller at the Virgin Media-owned sales house. Doyle takes up a new role as Head of Sales at InSkin Media, with a clear remit to grow the fast-expanding media sales business with Agencies, Clients and the wider creative community.
Tom Knapp joins from Platform A (formerly Advertising.com), where he spent several years as Head of Technology Operations. Knapp has been appointed Head of Operations at InSkin Media, ensuring appropriate business processes to support InSkin during its planned growth. He is tasked with developing the InSkin platform and operations, in preparation for full European and global roll-out.

New PageSkin format shows strong growth
InSkin Media's latest advertising innovation, PageSkin, the high-impact web-page format, has seen significant growth in recent months. Introduced during Q1 of 2010, PageSkin now accounts for 35% of InSkin Media's business. The remaining 65% of activity is primarily InSkin for Video and i-Roll, plus InSkin for Images.
